Friday Five 08.25.17

Happy weekend, y'all! I know, I know, it's been  weeks since I've posted a Friday Five and I'm so disappointed. Traveling to Europe and then to Utah 3 days later and THEN moving back to school had my schedule all messed up. But, I know I'll be able to get back on track and I'm so excited. Yay for showing y'all the things I've fallen in love with in the past weeks!

L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise

This dupe for Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara is everything. Not only does it make your lashes full and fabulous, it also lasts all day. No flaking, no smudges. I won't go on and on about it, but here I am telling you to stop buying a $25 Too Faced mascara when you can grab this one at the drugstore in the L'Oreal section. You can thank me later.

Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah

My mom passed this book down to me a few weeks ago and I finally got to reading it in Utah. It's a pretty lengthy book but is a cute, light read. Firefly Lane is all about two best friends and how their friendship develops over thirty years. It's incredibly sweet and reminds me how crucial girlfriends really are. I'm still reading so I'll keep you updated (without any spoilers of course).

The Nike Outlet

Y'all, if you haven't been to a Nike Outlet you are missing out! The place is swarming with sweet sneakers that are irresistible. I walked out of there with two pairs that I probably didn't need. The prices are unbelievable. I had so much fun shopping with my little sister and trying on tons of shoes. Can't wait to run around campus in endless athleisure this year. As you can see, the grey ones are already a little dirty (prob shouldn't have worn them to move the freshmen into their dorms) but they can easily be thrown in the washer and laid out to dry! I promise, your shoes will be safe in there!

Kate Spade Backpack

I've been on the lookout for a causal, everyday backpack for so long now. When Reese and I were at the outlets, I almost splurged on a leather one at Tory Burch for around $250, but that still felt a little expensive, and I wasn't 100% sure that my laptop would be able to fit in it (which was essential for quick coffee shop runs). So, when I went to Kate Spade to search for a fresh wallet to replace the one that I was falling apart, I saw this backpack for only $90, originally $300! The material is easy to clean and it has small compartments to keep everything organized.

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense

I have extremely dry skin. Nothing, I mean nothing, seems to be able to quench the thirst of my poor cheeks y'all. A few months ago I wrote a post all about my skincare routine (read it here) but since then I've discovered this moisturizer and it's rocked my world. I'm so thankful for it an really hope that it continues to do it's job as the cold winter months approach!
