Happy happy Friday my friends! I hope you conquered this week. I’m coming at you with another Friday Five that’s actually on time! Yippee! I’m so thankful for you guys and this blog makes my heart so darn full (sappy, I know). Also, please pray for fall weather because I have sweaters hanging in my closet that are very lonely and I’m tired of sweating everywhere I go. Okay, here are my five favorites from this week.
Day Designer Planner Target Edition
After 4 years of trying endless amounts of planners for school, I finally found one I adore. I’ve tried the original Day Designer planner (which is $60 by the way) and really liked how it had a page for each day. But do I think it’s worth the price tag? Nope. Back in July, I came across the section of Target where their collaboration with Day Designer was displayed. I saw this planner and flipped through it and found that it has a page for every single day just like the original planner. I was so excited to find it and for around $25 too!! It’s also larger than the original daily planner (size of a standard notebook). I’ve gone so hard when it comes to organizing my life and have never felt more put together.
I’m so late to the TJMaxx party but I am obsessed with that place. There aren’t many places to shop here in Lynchburg, and oftentimes, after a long week, all I need is some retail therapy. I could spend an hour and a half in that place (I kind of feel like I’m cheating on Target, but it will always be #1). TJMaxx is the place to find cute trendy things that you’ll wear once or to buy hair products for almost nothing. I've totally stocked up on fall essentials including an amazing faux fur jacket. Essential for sure.
I wish I could hop on Making Joy and Bliss and write about how healthy I am when it comes to my food choices, but I’m just going to be 100% real. I love McDonald’s. Especially when it’s midnight on a Saturday night. There’s something about an order of large fries, an Oreo McFlurry, and a crisp Sprite that just sounds so good. My homegirl Micah told me about the McDonald’s app and it’s a game changer for all my Mickey D’s people out there. So much free food, y’all. Micah and I always hit the BOGO deals and there’s nothing like getting a bag full of food while paying almost nothing, passed to you through the drive-thru window. We might regret it later, but we always go back. YOLO.
When I get out of the shower my hair is a tangled mess no matter how much conditioner I use. "Comb your hair in the shower!" people say to me. Ain't nobody got time for that. I went to TJMaxx and picked this up just because I left my "It's a Ten" leave-in conditioner at home. I love this stuff. Not only does it smell fabulous, but it makes my hair so soft and manageable. When I let my hair dry overnight, I wake up to zero frizz. Hallelujah!
I’ve never been a foundation girl, mainly because I couldn’t find one that doesn’t look dry and flakey by the end of the day due to my skin type. I usually go for a tinted moisturizer, but I haven’t felt the need to repurchase any of the ones I tried. This one by No7 is one that I’ll buy over and over again *insert heart eyes emoji. It’s moisturizing and has the perfect amount of coverage.
