Friday Five 02.02.18

Hey Friday Five readers, long time no chat! I'm finally back to school and just finished my first week of spring semester! Let me just say, I am so excited to see what's in store for the next few months of this school year. I've absolutely adored my sophomore year so far and it's honestly flying by. I know that soon enough I'll be writing my "What Sophomore Year Taught Me" post and I'll be packing up for the summer. Ugh, the thought of that makes me nervous, so I'll try not to get ahead of myself.

Anyways, after a busy and exciting Christmas break, I'm here with my new must-haves. If you're new to the blog, Friday Five posts are one of my favorites to write. Basically, (almost) every week I make a list of my favorite products, snacks, apps, music, whatever. Links included of course.

Apple AirPods

So, I got these babies for Christmas and they are my absolute favorite thing right now. I was planning to invest in them if I didn't get them for Christmas, but I'm thankful that I did. If I did spend my own money, I'd be telling you that they were 100% worth it. I had no idea how much of a game changer wireless is. I've had wireless Beats before, but I'm much more of a small headphone girl. Anyways, they're super easy to use and so far, I haven't had an issue with misplacing them! They do have a location technology to them as well-- you can find them with the "find my iPhone" app.

Black Ray-Bans

I love me a good pair of classic shades, and these are as good as it gets. I love the black on black look. It gives any look a little edge and I swear this style is flattering on any face shape. They're super light too.

Target Wooden Tray

I found this tray in the dollar section at Target-- no kidding. I can't link the exact one since they usually don't have that stuff on the website, but I did link something similar. This mirrored tray was only $5 and looks so cute sitting on my bed. I keep a Capri Blue candle, a mug filled with Hershey's kisses, and a book in it. I've gotten so many compliments already and love the home-y feel it adds to my room.

Neutrogena Body Oil

I've always had dry skin but something is up this winter and seriously nothing will quench my skin's thirst. So after complaining about it for days, and trying every lotion in my drawers, my mom picked some of this body oil up for me. After you shower, apply this oil to your damp skin, and then pat dry if you feel too slippery. After a day or two, you will feel a difference. Promise. Ugh, I love this stuff.

Almay Age Essentials Lip Treatment

Once again, this is a product that my momma introduced me to. She keeps it by her bed to use before she gets her rest, but for me, it’s become a MUST HAVE WITH ME ALL THE TIME product. Seriously, this lip treatment not only saves my lips in the winter, but it gives off a really pretty sheen/light pink tint that has been so fun to wear. There’s a chance that I’m straight up imagining that whole pink thing but I’m wearing it in this photo and I swear the effect it gives off is gorgeous. I’m not going to lie, I kind of think it’s a drugstore splurge at $15, but I really think I’ll be repurchasing this (which is rare for me because I’d much rather try new things.)
