Friday Five 07.13.18

Oh, sweet, sweet Friday. Boy, am I happy to see you again. This week was a doozy, but I'm trying my best not to wish each day away because soon enough summer will be over and I'll have to hit the books once again. Here are my five favorites from the week! XO

Yeti Mug

I bought this mug for a few reasons:

  1. I nanny 8am-6pm M-F and I need coffee. It must be sipped from a super fly mug that can keep it warm for more than 20 minutes
  2. I added some open shelving in my apartment for more storage this year and I figured a few of these in white would look adorable
  3. My family is addicted to Yeti.

Lululemon Backpack

I’ve been wanting to splurge on a Lululemon backpack for a while now, but I didn’t want to pay full price, nor did I like any of the ones on sale. Then, I walked into the Lululemon Outlet and saw this hunter green shade and loved it. Actually, it took a little convincing from my mom that the color was a neutral and that I could constantly carry it— she was right. The features in this backpack are what make it so great. There’s a padded laptop pocket, two zip pockets in the main section of the pack— one labeled “sweaty unmentionables” and the other “items of importance” (so cute). The backpack also comes with a little drawstring bag for those “sweaty unmentionables” which I have been using to store the kiddo’s wet bathing suits. It has a water bottle pocket in the middle of the bag which I like because it doesn’t weigh the bag down like it does when it’s on one side.

When Life Gives You Lululemons by Lauren Weiberger

Such a fun read! I struggle with writing about books I love because I always feel like I’m going to get too into it and then spill everything. If you like a good quick read, that’s entertaining and all about girlfriends sticking together, this is for you.

Dan + Shay Album

I’ve counted down the days until this full album was released since their song “Tequila” was released back in late winter. Dan + Shay never disappoints, but they killed it with this album. Even the kids I watch love it (except “Stupid Love” because “stupid” is a mean word).

Taylor Swift Reputation Tour

Up until a week before the concert, I didn’t think I was going and I was totally bummed. I love T Swizzle and this album means the world to me. I think she’s ridiculously talented and after her 1989 tour, I never wanted to miss one of her shows. One of my oldest friends, Emma, texted me saying that her dad had an extra ticket to the show and I just about cried when I saw that message pop up on my phone.

The show was incredible. So well done. It was extremely entertaining and she sang SO MANY old songs which brought me so much joy. And our seats rocked. Easily one of the best nights of my life.
